ERP interface Majesty – DOQ:
Together with the ERP provider UB-Software GmbH, LA2 GmbH has developed an interface for the continuous exchange of data between the systems.
The need for joint development arose from the often very large number of items Majesty users have. Re-mapping each item during the DOQ implementation would have been too time-consuming for the companies. It was also important to ensure continuous data exchange to avoid creating redundant data records and to constantly supply the existing Majesty modules such as PDA recording, control center, and pre- and post-calculation with up-to-date data.
The concept of the collaboration between the two systems provides for production orders to be planned in Majesty and transferred to DOQ for processing. DOQ continuously reports time recording data and completion status. Completion reports and inventory postings are also carried out in Majesty. The validation of these interfaces is carried out by LA2 GmbH, ensuring audit-proof application.
After creating a work order (PO), various data can be changed in Majesty. Changes to the work plans are particularly relevant for DOQ. These can include adding, changing, and deleting work steps. Material assignments are also made with the dispatch. If the required material is not available, it must either be ordered or manufactured in-house.
If it is manufactured in-house, a new BA is created for which the same process applies.
If the material is ordered, a quality check will be carried out after delivery.
Once the material is available, it is assigned to the work order in Majesty and then picked in production, i.e., made available to the operator in a box. This is the point at which the work order is „complete“ and the work order data is transferred to DOQ, provided no further changes to the work plan are planned before processing begins.
During processing, the resulting process data is entered into DOQ. DOQ reports some of this data, in this case, the clocking in and clocking out of a work step and the associated work progress, back to Majesty so that it can be updated, for example, in the control center. A work step is considered completed when the associated form is reviewed (closed). This completion notification of the work step is reported to Majesty.
If a work process is performed by an external company, the goods receipt entries are forwarded to DOQ after the parts are returned. DOQ enters the transmitted data into a special outsourced work process form and completes it. This reports the work process to Majesty as complete.
During processing, changes to the order can be made at any time. If this is the case, these changes must be submitted to DOQ.
After changes have been made, forms are copied, deleted or added in DOQ, or predecessor and successor relationships are adjusted.
If processing of a portion of the batch is complete and it needs to be partially confirmed, this can be done using a special function in DOQ. This will partially confirm this portion of the batch to Majesty.
With this fully validated interface, nothing stands in the way of a successful introduction of DOQ.
